Oil will never be replaced in the foreseeable future. Many people wish for the petroleum industry to die, but they fail to realize that the majority of the plastics made, are made from the hydrocarbons contained in petroleum. You can't argue that plastics make up a large portion of the products that we enjoy, i.e. smart phones, tablets, medical devices and are even used in the manufacture of products that make renewable energy possible. If the petroleum industry collapses and makes the production unprofitable, then our high standard of living will drop to rock bottom.

May the Road Rise to Meet You
- Roger Mcguinn
- May the Road Rise to Meet You
Summertime - the sun would shine
We'd lay across the field
Sheltered in the shadow of a tree
We'd write our poems to take along
to sing out on the road
And you would always sing this song to me.
(CHORUS)
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your land
May the rain fall soft upon your face until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Autumn leaves would change our trees
to colors on the ground

Swirling patterns beautiful to see
I'd lay my head down on your lap
I wouldn't make a sound
And you would always sing this song to me.
(CHORUS)
Through the winter days our tree
would shiver in the wind
Waiting for the warning touch of Spring
I'd hold you in the firelight-
we'd stare into the flame
And this is what you always used to sing.

Roger McGuinn has had a long and distinguished career over the last several decades. He was a founding member and front man for the Folk Rock group the Byrds. His greatest achievement and most fulfilling decision was when he turned his life over to Jesus Christ 40 years ago. He and his wife Camilla are devout Christians, with a marriage that has lasted over the same 40 years. They start every day off with prayer and Bible reading. When asked what their plans are for the future, Camilla replies that it is whatever God wants them to do. :)

Neil Cavuto embarrasses student who wants free college and has no idea h...
This was very painful to watch, but I think that it is important to view and comprehend how out of touch those that support a true socialist agenda really are. For a student of higher learning she is unable to grasp the economic realities of taking from one class of citizens and giving to another. The reality is that most people are unwilling to give the bulk of there earnings to another. I know many in government, academia and other tax supported institutions that propose this very solution for inequality, but feel that they should not be the one that contributes the bulk of their income. In essence, they are delusional hypocrites.

Duh, The President Makes The Laws.
PARENTS AND TEACHERS DO YOUR JOB!!! I got into discussion with a bright young man that was a junior in high school. He told me that he thought that the President made legislation and laws for Congress to approve and that if Congress made a law he didn't like then he would not allow the law. So, I politely gave a short explanation of our system of government, the checks and balances and the fact that the President does not have the power to make laws, only Congress has that power under the Constitution. He can veto legislation, but the Congress has the ability to override that veto. This is simply appalling. No wonder our government and bureaucracy appears to be running amok, we are not teaching the basics of what it means to live in a Constitutional Representative Republic. How many of you, including parents and teachers, have taken the time to read the Constitution, The Bill Of Rights and the additional Amendments and explain to your children? Just as I thought, not many.
Law To Change Kansas Conceal Carry.
The Kansas Senate has passed SB45 and the Kansas House is expected to pass it with ease. This would make Kansas the first state in the Union to allow Conceal Carry without a permit. Contrary to what the anti-gun and misinformed believe, this change in law only allows those that can legally purchase and own a firearm in the state of Kansas to Conceal Carry. Last year Kansas had passed a law strengthening open carry. In the past the laws were weak and municipalities were allowed to make their own laws and regulations restricting the carrying of firearms in public. At that time, many critics were crying and whining that our state, cities and neighborhoods would turn into the Wild West, with shootouts at the Okay corral taking place daily. This proved to be an absurd notion by those that have limited experience with firearms and are unable to comprehend the meaning of the Second Amendment of our U.S. Constitution.
For those of you that are critics and fear this right to Conceal Carry, how many individuals have you seen walking down the street, armed to the the hilt with firearms? How many gun battles have there been with those that can legally own firearms? None, you say? Just as I thought. :)
Did I Really Dump My Blog, Or Just Have An Affair With Another Social Media Vamp?
Boy, it has sure been a long time since I have visited my own web Blog. I had gotten so caught up in posting my thoughts to Facebook, that I had neglected to maintain this site.
So much has transpired since I last posted my thoughts on this blog, the continued war between Ukraine and Russia's proxies and NATO movement of troops and heavy weapons around the Baltic states to counter Russian aggression, the rise of the "Islamic State" in the middle east and their murderous campaign to establish an Islamic Caliphate, Iran's continued push for nuclear weapons and the sham that is now going on with the nuclear weapons talks, Iran's proxy takeover of the governments of Iraq and Yemen and its continued influence in Lebanon, Syria and in Latin in Latin American nations. Oh, let's not forget Iran's continued call for the destruction of both Israel and the U.S. and the unspoken truth of their desire to produce an EMP weapon to do just that
So many topics, so little time. :)

Is Israel Prepared For A Confrontation With Iran?
Not sure if Israel will attack targets in the Spring. Unfortunately, the longer they wait, the more Iran is able to harden it's nuclear facilities. Most of Iran's research, development and production is being relocated and developed below ground in mountainous areas around Qom and other locations. Some of these facilities have been compared to trying to destroy our complex at Cheyenne Mountain with conventional weapons. From many reports, Israel has the ability to cripple the development by destroying the heavy water and research facilities not yet hardened, but may not be able to penetrate those located inside mountains. Remember, even a crippled horse may eventually make it to the finish line.
The biggest conventional bomb in the U.S. arsenal is the 15 ton Massive Ordnance Penetrator. This bomb was designed to blast through 60 feet of concrete or penetrate 200 feet below ground before detention. Israel may have something similar, but do they have the delivery system? A bomb this size would need to be delivered by a heavy bomber such as the B-52 or the B-2. It is possible to deliver a weapon such as this with a cargo plane, but it would not be feasible since they would lack the speed and the defensive capabilities.
Israel could rely on nuclear weapons to destroy the hardened targets, but this creates several problems in itself. The main one is these bombs may still not be powerful enough. Remember, Israel has developed it's Nuclear arsenal as both a deterrent and a retaliation force, not necessarily for offensive purposes. Also, the use of nuclear weapons would impact the surrounding populations of other countries, not just the Iranians. The Geo-political fallout could be immense and serve to weaken Israel as well. A major caveat that many are not aware of is Russia and China have a great investment in Iran and they do not want to see their investments destroyed. Russia is making billions from it's alliance with Iran. China is gaining an important partner in military research. Both Russia and China are supplying military and intelligence expertise to Iran and this has served to increase Iran's early warning system and has allowed them to vastly modernize their air defenses.
On Iran's home front, an attack would serve to destroy any dissent against it's corrupt government. Not only would it galvanize the population, but it would give the regime the necessary tools to crush and eliminate any dissension without fear of world condemnation. WOW, I got carried away with my writing and tried to squeeze to much in, so I won't even go into the possibility of Armageddon and the assault by evil to destroy Israel once and for all. I will close by saying that because of delays, Israel is know stuck between a rock and a hard place and no solution would be good enough.

My Thoughts On The Republican Candidates
To be totally honest I believe that Newt Gingrich should withdraw his attempt at the nomination. He is quite smart, but I think he is not Presidential material. I think he has some life issues that are not completely resolved, he is too quick tempered and lacks the ability to lead and inspire others. Paul has some very good points on domestic issues, but lacks a world view that keeps The U.S. engaged against present and potential adversaries. And, unfortunately, Paul will not fair well in this materialistic, image oriented society with those that have no understanding of the foundation and principles that our country was and is founded on. Perry has wasted his chance by being ill prepared in earlier engagements. These basic mistakes have cost him and made him fodder for others amusement. Huntsman is seen as a Romney junior and would gain traction only if Romney was not running. Santorum has good sound principles and seems to stand behind his statements, but has been vilified as a right wing extremist and one of those damn "Christians" that think they are more virtuous than others. He and Marco Rubio would be on a short list as VP. This leaves Romney. Though I am not a Romney supporter, I think there is a 75% chance that Romney wins the Republican Nomination. Will Romney win the Presidency? I am not sure. There are differences between Romney and Obama. Romney has worked for others and ran businesses. He has caught a lot of heat for Bain Capital. No matter what you think of his stint with them, he did what he was charged to do, make money for the company and it's investors. For better or worse, that was where his loyalties were to be and why he had a job. It will all comes down to the Electoral College and which party controls the bulk of the Governorship and State Legislatures. It looks as if there will be 104 electoral votes that are to be had. Unlike the Reagan era, the shifting demographics make a Republican landslide a rarity going forward.

While Nero fiddles
Funny thing about this Debt and Economic Crisis, many seen it coming prior to 2007. No one wanted to take the necessary steps to cushion the impact of this major economic crisis now looming over us. The National Debt has increased over $10 Trillion since 2007 and most every citizen was oblivious to this gross negligence by our elected officials. People can blame Bush all they want, but it was the Democratic led House and Senate that was the governing majority through the first decade of the 21rst Century. They were the guardian of the vault and the carrier of the credit card that President Obama refers to. Many want to blame the cost of both the Afghanistan and Iraq wars as the reason the National debt has increased. This is not true. The total amount spent for both theaters of war has been $1.4 trillion. That leaves over $8 trillion spent on other things. The only way out of this Debt crisis is to either increase the GDP by $30 trillion per year or offer pennies on the dollar for all the bonds issued to all people and countries that have sought this form of investment. We know that increasing the GDP from $16 trillion a year to $45 trillion a year is utterly impossible, but what about the other?? :)
We do not need new Amendments to the Constitution to solve the problems we have allowed our elected officials to create. The mechanics and tools are already in place. The power rests with the American people and our own desire to educate ourselves. I bet we would be hard pressed to find many that keep copies of the Constitution, Bill of Rights and other Amendments accessible to answer our own questions. Many speak that term limits are the answer to keeping our elected officials from becoming complacent and making the office they hold a lifetime career. We already have term limits and they are implemented at the Ballot box.
Unfortunately, we are a mix of people that no longer value our freedoms or our form of government. We have become a country of people that luxuries have become necessities and necessities have become hardships. We think others play by a different set of rules than we do, when in fact it is the very same rules that we have allowed the game to be played by. I am a very Conservative person, but when I read and hear people talking the talk of class warfare it causes me to stop and ponder what it is they are referring to. When the term rich is bandied about, are they referring to riches of life or to monetary idols that they worship at the alter of one's self worth? Hell, if we have to ride or run on the little paved bike trails that the government has built with our tax money and have to dodge a pot hole, we curse and wonder why someone doesn't do something about the hardship we have to endure in detouring around it. If it is in terms of monetary, then I am probably among the poorest. Anyone making over $75,000 a year is rich compared to me. But if they are talking of the riches of life, then I am far more richer than many that I come in contact with. You want to know who is to blame for the mess we are in? We are and the Politicians are the extension of our own wants, needs, desires, greed and uneducated decision making processes. While Nero fiddles and burns Rome, we are at the Coliseum watching the entertainment.
