This coming Monday is Memorial Day. It is to be a time for many to give thanks, honor and reflect on those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Many will use this three day weekend to party and watch sports, shop the malls and retail outlets for the things that they can not live without and get away from the stresses of their jobs.
While we are busy doing whatever it is we will be doing, we can not forget how great our country is, nor can we forget how great our fellow citizens are.
I have taken a civics quiz from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. This quiz is an eye opener to what many of us know and do not know about our country and its government. I challenge everyone to take this quiz and see where you stand. It is 33 multiple choice questions. When I finished the quiz, I scored 84.5%. I reviewed the answers and found myself castigating my obvious wrong choices.
